The dance floor is a place where we show up to express ourselves, laugh, and indulge in good company. It’s where stories are formed and strangers become friends. Through this work, I wanted to explore the dance floor as a space to showcase queer joy and offer a glimpse into who I am when you meet me there: a queer individual with a deep love for color, texture, and connection.

Driven by Connection

In September of 2025, I had the opportunity to partner with the Hambidge organization to create a hand-tufted art installation centered on the celebration of community while also encouraging self-reflection. When I first read the call for artists, I was immediately drawn to the concept of a dance floor—an intersection where community and vulnerability meet, especially within the queer community.
